Motherhood is beautifully chaotic. One second, your toddler is giving you the sweetest hug, and the next, they’re dumping an entire bag of flour on the dog. Some days, it feels like you’re just barely holding it all together—spinning plates, wiping tears (theirs and yours), and wondering how in the world your coffee got cold again.
But here’s the thing: we weren’t meant to just survive motherhood. God didn’t call us to live exhausted, frazzled, and overwhelmed. He called us to live abundantly—yes, even in the midst of the mess.
So how do we find joy in the chaos?
1️⃣ Shift Your Perspective – Instead of seeing the mess, the noise, and the interruptions as distractions, see them as the very moments God is using to shape you (and your babies). That spilled juice? A reminder that little hands are still learning. That constant “Mommy, watch this!”? A child longing for your love and attention.
2️⃣ Simplify Where You Can – You don’t need the Pinterest-perfect home, the overbooked schedule, or the pressure to “do it all.” What if thriving looks more like less? Less pressure, less guilt, and less clutter—physically and mentally.
3️⃣ Find Small Moments of Joy – The giggles during bath time. The snuggles before bed. The way your child mispronounces words in the cutest way. These moments won’t last forever, and they hold so much joy if we slow down long enough to see them.
4️⃣ Lean on God, Not Just Coffee – (Though let’s be real, coffee helps too.) But true rest? That comes from handing the overwhelm over to Jesus. When we stop striving and start trusting, we find peace in the middle of the crazy.
Mama, you are not just a caretaker. You are a world-shaper. You are building up little humans who will go out and make an impact, and that is holy work. Don’t just survive this season—find the joy in it, even in the mess. Because one day, you’ll miss the sticky hands, the silly songs, and the little voices calling your name 400 times a day.
