Hey, Mama!
Oh, how beautiful it is that you’re here! I know the journey of entrepreneurship can be a wild ride filled with highs, lows, and everything in between. Some days, you’re on top of the world, checking off that never-ending to-do list and feeling like the boss you are. Other days, well… not so much. Maybe it’s a client that fell through, an unexpected challenge, or the guilt that creeps in when you’ve spent more time on business than with your babies. It’s easy to lose sight of the joy that comes with this journey. But today, I want to remind you that joy is not only possible—it’s essential.
And, girl, you deserve to feel it deep down in your soul. 💕
Running a business, raising a family, and managing all the other roles you fill is no small task. It’s incredibly easy to feel overwhelmed, to lose your spark in the hustle, or to question whether you’re truly on the right path. But I want to remind you of something crucial: you were called to this. God placed this entrepreneurial fire within you for a reason, and He is right there with you through every twist and turn of your journey.
So today, let’s focus on reclaiming joy in the process—joy in the challenges, joy in the victories, and even joy in the unknown. I’m going to share a heartfelt prayer with you that you can hold onto whenever you need to reconnect with that joy that might feel just a bit out of reach right now. But before we do that, let’s take a deep breath together, let go of some of the stress, and invite God into this space with us. 💖
The Journey: Where Faith and Joy Meet
First, let’s talk about what the entrepreneurial journey really is. It’s not just about reaching a destination or hitting your goals (though, let’s be honest, those wins feel pretty amazing, don’t they?). The truth is, your journey is the part that shapes you, grows you, and brings you closer to the woman God has called you to be. It’s in the messy middle, where things aren’t perfect, that the most profound growth happens.
But here’s the catch: it’s also the part where it’s easiest to lose your joy. Between the sleepless nights, the unanswered emails, and the weight of responsibility, joy can sometimes take a backseat to all the urgent “to-dos” demanding your attention. If you’ve been feeling like joy is a little hard to come by lately, it’s okay. You’re not alone in that. We all go through those seasons.
But here’s the good news, mama: joy is not about your circumstances. It’s about your heart. It’s about where you place your trust and where you find your peace. And no matter how difficult things get, you can always come back to joy when you center your heart on the One who gave you this path in the first place. Joy isn’t found in perfection, but in the presence of God right where you are—in your beautiful, messy, perfectly imperfect life.
A Prayer for Joy in Your Entrepreneurial Journey
Let’s take a moment to pray together, mama. This prayer is for you—the woman who is running her business, loving her family, and doing her best to keep it all together. It’s for the days when you feel like joy is slipping away and for the moments when you just need a reminder that you’re walking a path full of purpose, even when it feels hard.
“Dear Lord,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit that sometimes feels weary. You know the many roles I carry, the dreams I’m chasing, and the love I have for both my family and my business. Lord, I thank You for the opportunity to create, to lead, and to build something meaningful with the gifts You’ve placed inside me. But today, I also ask for Your guidance and Your joy to fill my heart.
On the days when I feel overwhelmed, remind me that I don’t walk this path alone. When I’m facing challenges, help me to find joy, even in the struggle, knowing that every step is part of a greater plan You have for my life. Give me eyes to see the blessings You’ve already placed in front of me—my family, my health, the ability to dream and work toward those dreams.
Lord, help me to release the burdens I’ve been carrying—the pressure to be perfect, the anxiety over what’s next, and the guilt that comes when I feel like I’m not doing enough. Remind me that Your grace is sufficient, and in that grace, I can find peace and joy.
May joy flow through my work, my conversations, and my heart as I lean into the purpose You’ve called me to. Thank You for guiding me, for loving me, and for being my constant source of strength and joy. I trust in Your plan for my business and my family, and I choose to embrace joy, no matter what today brings.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.”_
Celebrating Your Wins (Big and Small) 💕
Let me just pause right here and celebrate YOU! 🎉 Whether you booked a new client today, made it through a mountain of emails, or simply took a much-needed break to play with your kiddos—you are doing incredible things, mama! We so often forget to pause and acknowledge our wins. We focus on what we haven’t done, instead of the amazing things we’ve already accomplished. But here’s the thing: every little step forward is something to be celebrated.
Joy doesn’t just come from those big, game-changing moments. It comes from appreciating the small wins along the way. When you embrace a mindset of gratitude, joy follows naturally. So take a second and think about something you did today—no matter how small—that made a difference. You’re doing it, mama. You’re moving forward, and that’s worth celebrating! 💕
Practical Ways to Cultivate Joy in Your Business and Life
Now that we’ve prayed and set our hearts on finding joy, let’s talk about some practical ways you can cultivate joy daily, even in the midst of your busy life as a mompreneur.
1. Start Your Day with Gratitude
Before the whirlwind of tasks and emails takes over, take a few moments in the morning to center yourself in gratitude. Reflect on what you’re thankful for, whether it’s the health of your family, the opportunity to run a business, or the simple joy of a new day. When you begin with gratitude, you’re more likely to carry joy with you throughout the day.
2. Find Joy in the Process, Not Just the Outcome
It’s easy to get caught up in the end goal—hitting that revenue milestone, growing your email list, or finally launching that new product. But true joy comes from finding meaning in the journey itself. When you focus on the process—building relationships, learning new things, making an impact—joy follows. Try to shift your mindset from “I’ll be happy when…” to “I’m grateful for the opportunity to…”
3. Give Yourself Permission to Rest
Joy and rest are often deeply connected. If you’re running on empty, joy is much harder to access. Give yourself permission to take breaks, to rest, and to refresh your spirit. Rest is not a sign of weakness—it’s essential for your well-being and for the long-term success of your business.
4. Surround Yourself with Encouragement
You don’t have to do this alone. Find your tribe of like-minded women who are also on this journey of entrepreneurship and motherhood. Surround yourself with people who will lift you up, remind you of your purpose, and cheer you on. When you have a strong support system, joy comes easier because you’re reminded that you’re not alone in this.
Finding Joy in Faith and Family
Lastly, mama, let’s talk about where your deepest source of joy truly lies: your faith and your family. These are the foundations of your life, the constants that anchor you when the business side of things gets chaotic. Lean into them. Spend time with God. Invest in quality time with your family, and don’t let the hustle steal those precious moments.
Your business is important, yes—but the joy you find in your family and faith will fuel everything else. And when you keep those priorities in line, you’ll find that joy flows naturally into your work, too.
Mama, my prayer for you today is that you find deep, unshakable joy in the journey of entrepreneurship. I pray that you would experience joy in the process, peace in the challenges, and gratitude for the beautiful life you’re building—one step at a time.
You’ve got this, and most importantly, God’s got you. 💕
Cheering you on always,
Mal 💕
